Residence Permit

The residence permit is a legal permit that allows non-EU citizens to reside in the Italian territory.

The entrance into Italian territory is subjected to document control and may require an entry visa.

The residence permit must be requested within 8 days from your entrance in Italy for the following reasons: tourism, business, study, religious grounds, or seasonal employment or independent activities, stay or residence of choice, adoption, etc.

The EU citizens do not need a special permit to reside in Italy.
